Here Are 2017's Top Natural Beauty Products You Need to Try Right Now

This year has been a myriad of adventure, exploration, and new beginnings for me. And, as a wellness writer, much of my experiences in 2017 have revolved around lifestyle changes which focus more on my internal health and the products I use to care for my hair, skin, and body.

One of the many benefits of writing for the wellness, natural living, and sustainability niches is the opportunity to discover new brands, products, and resources which help people incorporate more holistic and, often, more natural items into their everyday routines. For me, personally, this typically revolves around supplements and skin care, as I'm an avid non-user of most makeup and focus specifically on the health of my skin.

But 2017 was certainly a year for new health and wellness trends which shook the natural living niche - for the better, I would say. Most of these new products and trends which took 2017 by storm have made a point of putting internal beauty first, with added external bonuses, to match. And because 2017 isn't exactly over yet, there is still time to try these trends and maybe even gift them to yourself and others for the holidays (and beyond, too).

So let's takea peek at my personal roundup of must-try natural beauty buys for 2017.

For Hair

Reverie's MILK Anti-Frizz Leave-In Nourishing Treatment

This treatment made my list of top beauty picks not only because it tames frizz and leaves your hair looking simply delightful,
but additionally nourishes the hair using a host of hair-benefitting ingredients, including oils and amino acids for seriously beautiful tresses.

Briogeo Scalp Revival Dry Shampoo

Using charcoal and biotin as its key ingredients, this dry shampoo from Briogeo has a lovely scent, an awesomely natural ingredient
list, and the added capability of cleansing the hair without causing stress or damage to the scalp. In other words, it's the natural
alternative to those drugstore aerosol dry 'poos you've been searching for.

For Teeth/Oral Health

Fat and the Moon's Anise & Clove Tooth Cleanse

This gentle, 5-ingredient, all-natural tooth soap is the perfect alternative to chemically-laden tooth pastes. It helps to protect gum
health while preventing bacteria, and also happens to make a killer mouth cleanser if you've just had your wisdom teeth removed ;)

Peppermint Mouthwash by Stockade Farm & Apothecary

To keep your gums and teeth healthy (not to mention, free from bad-breath-causing bacteria, too), try Stockade Farm & Apothecary's
natural mouthwash. It's refreshing A F and keeps your mouth sparkly clean.

For Skin

Northlore Cleansing Grains

Using yarrow and lavender as the key ingredients in these grains, Northlore's cleansing grains manage to be entirely effective at sloughing away
dead skin without irritating your complexion. An added bonus? A little bit of the grains go a long way, and the use of poppy seeds made them
a gentle exfoliant.

Shakespeare's Bathtub But Soft! Clay Wash

Geared towards dry skin, but just as effective for oily or combination skin as well, this clay-based facial cleanser from a local brand called
Shakespeare's Bathtub has changed the way I view clay cleansers. Somehow, this wash manages to keep my skin clear at the same time that
it softens it, without ever drying the skin down.

Sun Worshipper Repair Serum by URB Apothecary

I've been using the serum since 2016, and I love the nourishment it gives to my skin. Not just for Summer use, this Repair Serum features
an array of skin-nourishing oils and extracts for a serum which heals, repairs, and delivers noticeable results. Whether you worship the
sun or not, this serum will work wonders on your skin.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream

I know, I know: this product isn't 100% natural. And trust me, if I could find a natural dupe for this cream, I would go to the ends
of the earth to possess it. Unfortunately, I've yet to discover a completely natural, daily moisturizer which not only keeps my skin
breakout-free, but competes with the hydration this one from Kiehl's provides. If you have combination skin like I do, or live in a colder climate,
this facial cream will definitely help your hydration game - and until I find a natural alternative, I remain obsessed with this moisturizer!

Fat and the moon's pimple mud

I'm fortunate to be able to say that I've never experienced any significant skin issues, especially not where acne or acneic
conditions are concerned. However, I am not immune to the occasional breakout or spot, and when I'm in need of a spot-treatment,
but constant go-to is Fat and the Moon's Pimple Mud. Somehow, this magical treatment gets rid of pimples using only four ingredients,
and I seriously cannot keep enough of it around. Friends and family love this stuff, and I've made a habit of buying two jars at a time for when
people just can't keep their paws off of it. This is the only spot treatment you will ever need to buy again, friends.

For Body

K'pure Get Closer All Natural Deodorant

Not a believer in natural deos? That's cool; I totally get it. There are so many out there to choose from, many of which contain significant
amounts of baking soda, or which don't actually protect you from odour. Fortunately, I've found a few that do the trick, but one I discovered somewhat
late this year is K'pure's Get Closer deodorant. Instead of baking soda, it uses activated charcoal and arrowroot powder to absorb sweat and odour,
while keeping you smelling fresh with a woodsy scent that both men and women will love.

Vanilla Moon Body Oil by CAMP Skincare

If body lotions aren't your thing, or you're seeking a natural alternative to lotions which smell yummy but don't hydrate, it may be time to give
body oils a chance - starting with CAMP's Vanilla Moon Body Oil. While I've discovered a couple of other body oils I love, this oil in particular
has a subtly delicious scent and hydrates the skin all day long; just apply a little bit after your shower or bath, and your skin will be left feeling and
looking soft all day long.

For Internal Beauty

Wooden Spoon Herbs - Tinctures

Tinctures and adaptogens made a splash this year as the hottest new wellness trend, but one of their key benefits is helping to heal
the body from the inside out. It may be surprising to find that tinctures and adaptogens have a myriad of positive side-affects; some
of which include better skin, hair, and improved mood. My favourite tinctures and cocoa blends come from Wooden Spoon Herbs,
and you'll find a variety of items available for all of your natural wellness needs.

Moondeli + Amazing Grass + Sun Potion Adaptogenic Blends

Adaptogens - powdered plants and botanicals - have become all the rage, most popularly for their anti-stress benefits. However, certain blends of
adaptogens can improve the appearance and health of skin and hair, which is why taking these blends daily is not only a great way of upping your
natural beauty game, but can also help with anxiety and stress. My top picks for adaptogen blends come from Moondeli, Sun Potion, and Amazing Grass.
You can discover how adaptogens work here, but in particular, the items I love from the three brands mentioned above are:
